Bright Orange Nails

Bright orange nails were seen on the runway for S/S 2012.  The first picture is from Milly by Michelle Smith Spring 2012 Collection.  The models wore CND's Electric Orange.  I listed some other possible shades to try for this S/S as well.

If you are into nail polish or nail art,  check out this tutorial from Manicurist Sophy Robson.  I couldn't stop watching her tutorials.  She's done manicures and nail art for celebrities, models and editorials.

I couldn't find the exact color she used or the CHANEL stencils she had but if you have a steady hand you could try to create the logo.  I've listed some products I think will help create the look.

Plum/Wine

Plum/Wine Nails

Fall/Winter is here so it's time to pull out the dark polish or gel nail color.  I guess it depends on what you prefer at the moment.  I've tried Shellac and Gelish and they make two great shades.  Fedora is a popular shade from CND and from Hand and Nail Harmony Bella's Vampire.  

Daphne Groeneveld is wearing Deborah Lippmann's Dark Side of the Moon above at the Versace X H&M Fashion Show.  Poppy Delevingne(she's an English Socialite, Model and soon-to-be Actress) is wearing a pretty plum shade.

The shade I'm wearing is O.P.I's  Lincoln Park At Midnight.  I rotate between this shade as well as Lincoln Park After Dark and CND Fedora. Please don't limit yourself to wearing these shades only in the Fall, they're Perfect year round shades as well. Enjoy!

Pamela Love Mood Ring, Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in Mint Sorbet

I've been testing out a few polishes to find the perfect shade for me and my skintone (olive).  The shade to me with a real mint green color would be the Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in Mint Green.  The Essie Mint Candy Apple is my second favorite.  It seems to look more like turquoise on my skintone though.  Here is the list of polishes from above with the names.

This is my new favorite pink for Summer.  It's nice and pale.  The description of the color is pale pink.  It looks great on my olive skin but swatch it out first.  It might look muddy on other skin tones.  It comes off as a bright pale pink like Mod About You but don't be fooled it's more subdued.

O.P.I. Texas Spring/Summer 2011 Collection

Here are the 12 new shades from the Texas Collection.  I have the San Tan-tonio and the It's Totally Fort Worth It on my must have list.  I'm always looking out for a good taupe and gray shade of polish.  It will be available in early February!

Here are the new shades for the Fall 2010 Collection!  These Colors would be Beautiful layered on top of each other.  For instance, a base shade with the Glitter on top!  A lot of glitter so have some extra cotton balls and  nail polish remover ready!

OPI Swiss Collection Fall 2010

I really like the New Fall Collection of Nail Lacquers from OPI.  The hard thing is figuring out which polish to choose from.  The dark purple shade reminds me of Lincoln Park After Dark.  I'm probably going to try that one First!
