Olympic Closing Ceremonies

Closing Ceremonies of the 2012 London Olympics

I enjoyed the Closing Ceremonies last night and was surprised and delighted to see Rock n Roll and Fashion merged into one.  It received a lot of negativity and backlash but the UK has talented Designers and Beautiful Models that hail from there.  British fashion plays a impressive part of the fashion industry and I'm glad to see it be included at the Olympics Closing Ceremonies.

Fall/Winter 2012/2013

Sarah Burton's Fall 2012 Collection was created with intricate detail and artful techniques.  The fabrics were made from unexpected textures with rich embellishments.  The silohuettes seemed to float and the shield-like visors gave the collection a Futuristic feel with Couture Glamour.

Cafe Society for Harper's Bazaar US March Issue by Karl Lagerfeld

Karl Lagerfeld photographs this editorial for Harper's Bazaar that takes the trends of the 1920s and Art Deco Design into a fully themed set.  It was styled by Andrew Richardson and Lagerfeld's flapper girls include Arizona Muse, Joan Smalls and Saskia De Brauw.  The Beauties were paired with Travis Cannata, Malthe Madsen and Charlie Siem.

The beautiful gowns and suits were from Designers that included Gucci, Oscar de la Renta, Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, Yves Saint Laurent, Roberto Cavalli, Dior, Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, CHANEL, J. Mendel, Ralph Lauren Collection, Marc Jacobs, Giorgio Armani, Alexander McQueen, Valentino and Fendi.
